The ambiance about the hotel is excellent and the furnishings really made you feel you were staying in somewhere historic and special and the reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful. The location of the hotel could not be bettered. We requested a courtyard room which we did get and it was nice and quiet,but I think rooms overlooking the street could be quite noisy. the bathrooms were very small but this did not distract from the whole experience of staying in somewhere so historical. The breakfast could have had more choice, but still represented good value for money compared with eating elsewhere |

excellent and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings in communal areas especially, very historic. the very best rooms shown on the web site were only a small number of those available, whilst the others were very good and comfortable the pictured ones appeared brighter and more colourful |

Beautiful lobby and central location Very small room crammed with furniture. Asked if we had anything from the minibar was laughable because we couldn't open the door to the fridge as the bath was in the way. Also, most rooms do not have windows except in one wall opening into the lobby courtyard. Very expensive! |
